Welcome to MaBelle’s Garden! What a wonderful year we have had! 2024 was an amazing ride in Connecticut growing and creating magical floral abundance and beauty. Our wedding venues ranged from a glamorous black tie New Year’s Eve soiree to a joyous celebration at a country club, an intimate backyard wedding under a majestic sugar maple named Galadriel, a chapel wedding in Chester, an autumnal feast of foliage and blooms at the Polo Fields in Farmington, a Mystic Seaport extravaganza and an elegant evening wedding under a crescent moon at Old Saybrook Point. Every wedding was a masterpiece in its own right! I have fallen in love with the process “from seed to celebration”. If you are visiting us for the first time I will give you a brief history of our journey. We began in the Ojai Valley growing from seed on our micro flower farm in 2018. We had a great ride albeit was a bumpy off road ride mixed with fires, mudslides, the pandemic and a drought! Aren’t start ups fun? Believe it or not we had more fun than not. I look back with mostly fond memories, but by the end of 2022 something had to give so we found a historical house circa 1786 in Connecticut to renovate that had not a flower in sight. I spent 2 years renovating and decorating the Salt Box Colonial adorning her walls with William Morris wallpapers and created magical gardens. Although I love New England and her glorious seasons, I missed my beloved California where my roots and family are. My daughter Ruby is joining me now officially to be my partner bringing in the wedding season of 2025 and I am thrilled to be HOME!
With Love and flowers,
Eileen
