MaBelle’s Garden is a wedding floral studio rooted in the pastoral beauty of the Connecticut River Valley. On a historic farm property dating to 1786, founder Eileen Cavanaugh cultivated lush gardens beneath and around a venerable sugar maple, a grandmother tree she named “MaBelle.”

A 2020 graduate of the acclaimed Floret Flower Farm course, Eileen learned to grow from seed, tuber, corm, and bulb, and went on to operate a micro flower farm in California’s Ojai Valley for five years. She refined her approach to wedding floral design under the mentorship of Philippa Craddock and Willow Crossley in England, and through Erin Benzakein’s Floret floral design course. These three celebrated designers share a deep commitment to environmental stewardship, a principle Eileen holds at the heart of her own practice.

Her work is always free of toxic floral foam, and she prioritizes locally grown, seasonal flowers whenever possible, so that each arrangement is as fresh and meaningful as it is beautiful.

Eileen has recently relocated to St. Paul, Minnesota, to be near her family, and MaBelle’s Garden is entering a new chapter. She looks forward to bringing her artistry and her love of flowers to the couples of this community as they prepare for their celebrations.
